then send it to virus @ avast.com in a password protected zip.file
mail subject: undetected sample
zip password: infected
That’s what i was wondering…where to send, thanks…i already quarantined with MBAM.
You would have to restore it from MBAM first (not to much of a risk, just don’t execute it) to be able to send to avast. You can either send by email or add it to the chest and send it from there. Note: a manual add to the chest leaves the file in the original location so you can run MBAM again to remove it or delete the copy in the original location.
Send the sample/s to avast as a Undetected Malware:
Open the chest and right click in the Chest and select Add, navigate to where you have the sample and add it to the chest (see image). Once in the chest, right click on the file and select ‘Submit to virus lab…’ complete the form and submit, the file will be uploaded during the next update.
Or
Send the sample to virus (at) avast (dot) com zipped and password protected with the password in email body, a link to this topic might help and undetected malware in the subject.
Thanks David, I submitted via the chest. Didn’t know I could manually add to chest. Thanks again.
You’re welcome.
The submit from the chest is very handy, saves all that hassle of zipping and password protecting the zip file to submit it by email.
