After hours of trying to install finally got there, or have I ?
I don’t know which version I have, for the money paid. ???
Also at the bottom right of screen I have AVAST informing me that
“system is not fully protected” So what. I ask myself !!
How do I rectify ?
And another …. The “Fix” button does not seem to activate anything
I don’t find the terminology user friendly. But I am on a steep learning curve. ;D
Is there a manual in easy speak terms .
I miss the little revolving ball. Always got the impression something was happening !!
The type is written as headline in the GUI: free / pro / internet security. The actual version number can be found when expanding the header on the main GUI site.
Did you reboot after installation? If not, do so.
If you did: do a repair installation and reboot.
If this is on boot up to desktop. the many Avast Shields take a little time to engage as well as the new signatures are in the process of updating so that is why it will also say you are at risk.
You are using Avast Internet Security, I presume?
What Operating System? (e.g. Win Vista Home 32 or 64 bit, Win 7 Home Pro 32 or 64 bit, Win XP Pro 32 bit…)
Your Vista is up to date? (I believe SP 2 is the current SP-status)
Any other security software running on your system (or were installed prior to Avast) like zonealarm, norton, symantec?
Vista is updated.
Before updating to AVAST Internet 5, AVAST was installed and working fine, (blue balls).
No other software being used, apart from with VISTA.
What puzzles me is the exclamation mark over my yellow AVAST icon. And there is only one “ball”. No revolving ball.
“Attention System not protected” notice …… and Fix Now button has no effect ???
