Not losing a blocked, rejected mail • Solved

Hello!

As the poor guy here, my boss got an information mail by Avast! 5, telling a mail was rejected by «Heuristic; strange blanks sequence» (so my translation of the German error text). And I’m the one to recommend Avast!.

The central question here is, what can we do to receive the original mail in any kind?
Settings a move into the container, and if that fails request ›me‹. As you see, nothing of this happened. A brief description for this behavior is ‹inacceptable›.

You should know, I placed this problem in the German Forum, but finally I was redirected here.
I sent out several mails; with a blank as subject, with an empty subject (following ideas give in the forum), but all mail were received properly. I tried again with the original subject; maybe really the body was the problem… All mails came in as (not) expected.
(Well… Assuming a stupid sender may not be a very bad idea anyway.)

We need help to keep control what incoming mails are rejected or no; control to receve it anyway.
See, my boss chose to set the mail client (POP) to keep mails on server. So we had a chance to inspect the mail there (found it acceptable) and tried forwarding to me. All settings looking useful were useless, I got just the Avast! warning message. And since I, for several issues, am forced to download mails directly, there was no mail left to be inspected via ma webmailer (checked this). I hate such black holes… What if the mail was important?

Which avast? Which mailclient…?

Wir haben übrigens auch einen neuen deutschsprachigen Bereich…

Which Avast! ? Version 5, as mentioned. Free Edition, as not mentioned.

And we use SeaMonkey (me) as well as OutlookExpress (boss). So, the client obviously has no influence to the situation. The server delivers when polled, Avast! blocks it.

I’ll answer this in german, as you also use the german version.
