Not sure how to fix or what to do

My laptop has been slow for over a week now, and also freezes frequently, never had these issues before.

I immediately ran a full system scan on avast and got the result “some files could not be scanned”. I checked the log to see the issue and it falls under a .gif file “C:\ProgramFiles\TOSHIBA\ConfigFree\it-it\fug\CF2\img\cf2_13-01.gif”. I attempted to delete this file, to repair it, the apply button seems to not be working. i went straight to the file source through windows explorer, click on the file, computer freezes, no preview picture for that file in the list of others in the same “img” folder, yet all the others i can preview.

I’ve been running daily scans since, including boot-time scans, and now there are two other issues being found, with the same scan log result “some files could not be scanned”:
“C:\Windows\System32\IME\IMEJP10\IMJPDCT.EXE”, and
“C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-d…-japanese-utilities_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_ef38a8d0d05cc2c7\IMJPDCT.EXE”

The severity on these files are not shown, so i am not sure if there is a real threat or not. I am not sure if there is something corrupting those files that avast is not picking up or lingering in the background, i just want it fixed.

I am still unable to delete, repair or do anything with these files. If anyone could please help me, i simply want my computer back to normal, these files deleted/repaired and my “apply” button to function properly.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

"C:\Windows\System32\IME\IMEJP10\IMJPDCT.EXE", and "C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-d..-japanese-utilities_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_ef38a8d0d05cc2c7\IMJPDCT.EXE"

Where IMJPDCT.EXE gives this Microsoft page on Google: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835727

Not clear what cf2_13-01.gif file is, as nothing stands out on Google.

If you feel you need help on possible malware, go to the viruses and worms section and here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0 and attach all logs.

of course....since they are not infections, the apply button will not work

avast is just reporting a scan error…and the reason why, no more no less
files that can not be scanned are just that, it does not mean they are infected.

avast have no means to repair a corrupted file. avast is a antivirus, so the only file(s) it is interesting in are infected file(s)
when avast find a infected file, it is given a malware name
