Not updated virus database in avast free 2016. Operating system Windows 10 x64. Automatic Updates is turned on in the settings. Uninstalling and reinstalling did not help. What to do next?

Perform a repair of avast and see if it solves the problem.

Repair Avast:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

He writes: detected incompatible software windows defender. How to remove defender windows? Remove with Remove programs → Avast can not be done.

You cant remove Defender as it’s part of the OS but you can disable it though a reboot after running the repair should fix it.
