Notification of update

I’ve been using AVAST for years (at least 4-5), since I told SYMANTEC, so to speak, to take a hike, shove it, etc. AVAST as kept has saved my bacon countless times. So this being said, THANKS!

Now, I’m currently running V 2014.9.0.2103, and I just a few minutes ago, was notified that there is a newer version out. For definitions it’s automatic (download and install); for program updates, I do it manually. It just seems odd that it took 12 days for my installed Avast to notify me that there’s an update for the program. Any ideas?

The program updates are spread out over a period of time to ease server load. You can always check here on the
forums for any future program updates. Since you were still using v2014 you didn’t lose any protection. The updates
through out the year (same version) are primarily for bug fixes.
