NSIS False Detections

Hello,
I’m having difficulties when trying to build NSIS installers. Avast keeps telling me that it’s a “Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]”. I notice with some compression methods it occured and with others it did not, so I compiled a zip with all files which were triggering this false positive.

My Avast is fully up to date by the way

Zip download: https://www.sendspace.com/file/5ayet8
Zip password: nsis

Have asked fellow NSIS developers and they say that this is a common false positive detection from Avast. Please be careful

You can report a false positive here: http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php

Or via Mail to virus@avast.com subject:False positive

If you send it by mail, you need to password protect the zip file or it will be removed by any mail server AV scanner on the way…if detected
If you use Gmail and is sending .exe files you need to use a zip program that encrypt the content like 7zip. Gmail will block sending of .exe files

Use zip password: infected

Detection was fixed in update VPS 140915-1
not detected by avast.
