This nasty worm/Trojan (not sure which) has infected my computer and has passed undetected by avast. According to www.download.com (http://www.download.com/Spyware-Horror-Stories/1200-2023_4-5165282.html?tag=fea_txt)

Sophos is the only anti-virus program that detects it. I really like avast and prefer not to switch. Does any1 know if avast is working on this problem? If you google “NSIS Media”, you’ll see countless people that have problems with this nasty worm.

 Many antiVIRUS programs can "detect" a trojan/worm, but can NOT properly to anything with
 the "detection", which is WHY it is best to use a "layered approach" to computer security and
 rely on 1 or more programs that can "quarantine" such "things"; recommend using the FREE
 version of "SUPERantispyware" from www.superantispyware.com  AND/OR AVG 
 antispyware/Ewido, where you can pick your version at www.filehippo.com/download_ewido/ .

Sophos did the job, I was hoping avast would also work on solving this problem

Well if you have a sample, send the sample to virus@avast.com zipped and password protected with password in email body and undetected malware in the subject.

I don’t have a sample, but i emailed avast about it.

Unfortunately they won’t be able to analyse that to add to the signatures, etc.
