NT4 WKS crashes after installing Avast Pro

Hi,

On a NT4 WKS norton has been uninstalled, the NT4 has been rebooted.
Avast Pro has been installed, NT4 has been rebooted but after entering login and password the system stops to respond; no desktop appears, mouse moves, CTRL-ALT SUP works but task manager doesn’t appear.
The workstation doesn’t start in safe mode and last good configuration doesn’t start.

What can be done ? and what is the problem ?

Undoubtly a bad Norton uninstallation as usual :stuck_out_tongue:
Can you browse the Symantec site for a standalone unistall tool to your version and operational system and try to run it?
Can you uninstall avast untill you’ve got a solution?
