OS: MS Windows Vista Beta 2.
After installing Avast 4.7, I receive an error msg when trying to load legacy DOS programs (“NTVDM encountered a hard error”) and program will not load. From
another forum I learned that this is caused by a line Avast adds to the System32 config.nt file (“device=F:\PROGRA~1\ALWILS~1\Avast4\aswmonds.sys”) What is the purpose of this line and will Avast still work if I REM it out?
