You can check the “Virus Database” / “Virus Information” dialog - aren’t the particular lines numbered?
Anyway, as explained multiple times on this forum, the “number of detected viruses” is a very questionable value, having only a little of real sense (since the comparison with other products is hardly possible).

I am not discussing the matter of how many viruses avast detects : just wondering where exactly it is mentioned ???
as I can not find it in the last version as you see in the attached pic. :-\
When you open the Virus Information dialog and enter ‘*’ into the filter, there’s a “Number of listed viruses” line below.
I’m not sure if the information is available anywhere else…
