Im a little confused about why there is so many different Resident Providers for email? ???
Exchange 2007
Exchange 2000/2003
MS SMTP 2000/2003
Outlook/Exchange
Internet Mail
- I’m assuming that “Exchange xxxx” should only be enabled ON the SBS. Although the workstations are talking to an Exchange Server, this is where Outlook/Exhchange comes in.
- Outlook/Exchange is obvious and should be enabled on all workstations
- Internet Mail - I presume this only needs to be enabled if the user has any POP3/IMAP accounts in Outlook? Or is it purely for any POP3/IMAP accounts that are accessed /outside/ of Outlook (i.e. does outlook/exhcange plugin look after Outlook completely?) ?
- MS SMTP 2000/2003 - No idea about this one?
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks, Mark
