Nvidia GeForce Experience Blocked / Updates Stopped

Hi there,

I’ve submitted a ticket for this as well, but the confirmation page appears to have hung, so I do not know if you received it. To cover all bases I though I would post it here as well.

Avast is blocking Nvidia Gefore Experience from getting to the internet even after the program has been set to full in/out on the firewall. Yes, I checked the windows firewall too.

The program is normally found Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\NVIDIA GeFore Experience\

Please fix this issue, since after all the amount of money spent on a single Nvidia card is a factor of 10 or more greater than one might spend on an private antivirus subscription…

The NVidia update process ( Geforce Experience ) is something that has popped up several times before, you can send a false positive report via the chest if there was a detection placed in there.

I personally uninstall the Geforce Experience so I’m not caught out with a bad update from NVidia which has been very problematic as of late, plus I don’t see the need for an unnecessary resource running in the background slowing things down and looking for updates that will kill your system if you don’t read the reviews on that particular update first.

Hi, while it is recommended to update your Programs, drivers are a different story.

Your GPU drivers shouldn’t be updated unless absolutely needed. It is a nightmare for me even. I installed the drivers, and eveything works. I’ve updated the Drivers twice. The first went south (Meaning, lost Power/BSOD, corrupted the process and when I rebooted, the 5 Nvidia Updating proccesses were using an excess of 10GB’s of RAM and climbing quickly). The second was to resolve flashing issues on a Laptop a family member owns.

If you are updating driver’s, ALWAYS disable any security you have.
