Networks which utilize up-to-date desktop antivirus on all machines should experience no problems, however the worm does attempt to disable AV and security software, so advising users to test their AV may also be in order. If the AV refuses to run, it may be an indication of infection by this or another worm.

Security alert: the Kama Sutra worm

Today I’m sending out a special security edition of this newsletter to lay to rest concerns you may have regarding the Kama Sutra worm,
which is set to unleash its damaging payload on February 3, 2006. This worm, which spreads primarily via e-mail,
is known by a variety of names–Nyxem, MyWife, Blackmal, and Blackworm, just to name a few.
Although the danger is great, most antivirus vendors still consider this to be a low to medium threat. I hope you find the accompanying link helpful.

If only people wouldn’t open email attachments in unknown/unexpected emails, they would have little or less to fear from this type of virus infection.

This virus comes every month on the 3rd right?
Does Avast get the file definition before it comes or after? :-[

Yep ;D ;D
