October Virus definitions have a constant issue. ChatGPT it and it appears to be happening to quite a few people here. Please do something about this avast maybe a hotfix as your antivirus is quite literally unusable at the moment. 5 days no fix.
I am having the same problem! Each time AVAST ask for its definitions to be updated I receive an error message.
Managed to finally fix it after 5 days of waiting for avast to produce a hotfix. One of the updates within October must have been bad. Go to the support site for avast, and download the avast uninstaller. Uninstall and reinstall and it should sort it out downloaded the updates past the one causing the corruption. Sometimes you have to go into safe mode on your computer to uninstall it but im sure you’ll be able to figure it out
