What is Screencast.com?

This post has been updated here.

Screencast.com is TechSmith’s media hosting solution. Upload and share your videos and images as well as any other type of file you might want to share online. After setting up your Screencast.com account when Jing installs, Jing will automatically upload your image or video to Screencast.com whenever you click Share. The URL is copied to your Clipboard; paste it anywhere you want to share your image or video.
Cost: Nothing. When you participate in the Jing Project, you’ll receive a complimentary Screencast.com account for the duration of the project.
Security: Screencast.com has both public and private sharing options. When using the Jing Project, your media is uploaded and and a randomized URL is generated. Only those who you share the URL with can view your media.
Storage and Bandwidth: For helping us out and testing the Jing Project, you will receive 200 MB of storage and a monthly limit of 1 GB of transfer bandwidth for your Screencast.com account.

The concept of Jing is the always-ready program that instantly captures and shares images and video…from your computer to anywhere.

Does this apply to you in any way? I went on their site screencast.com and it is safe…“Macafee site advisor” rates it safe…

Where is it located on your computer and if it doesn’t apply to you in any way how are you deleting it?
Keep us updated

Cheers and !!safe surfing!!!

He does not refer to the server, but to the application with tray icon on the screenshot. Also, this is a double post, there is already another thread about it.

@OP - use the Additional Options - Attach feature next time. These outside links are unreliably and annoying. Also apparently confusing here.
