Hey, I’m posting because I have a question about the behavior of Avast. I’ve used avast on two of my computers for a while now and I’ve never really had any problems, until recently. One of my family members came to me asking about why their computer is acting up, I went to check and noticed I couldn’t click on any links or buttons on Chrome. It said that the subscription has expired and that clicking fix would repair any errors, this is where it starting getting odd. After I clicked fix about 4 or 5 UAC boxes came up asking me if I wanted to allow Avast, I clicked yes to everything but then Avast began trying to shut down and it asked me if I wanted to allow it. I clicked no not knowing the reason it asked that, it suddenly reverts (somewhat) back to normal with the subscription but at the same time it says I need to fix the account still. After a restart it seems to have went back to normal but is there anything I should be looking out for? Any help would be appreciated.
It’s been my experience that sometimes, process glitches occur (for lack of better term) anomalies that can’t always be explained but if all is running fine now, keep monitoring and documenting any further " Odd Behavior" which would indicate a pattern or something reproduce-able.
Just a thought?
Thanks for the quick response. Hopefully it isn’t anything, it just kind of worries me as I’ve used it for so long with no troubles and suddenly after about a month of installing it on a family members computer I’m running into different problems.
