Office 2016 Support???

I am on the very latest version of AIS… 10.4.2233. I upgraded my Office 365 license to the new Office 2016 level. Avast is no longer actively supporting Outlook 2016. There is no banner showing the loading of the Avast add-on at Outlook 2016 startup. The Avast add-on to the menu ribbon is missing. I can’t mark something as SPAM because Avast support is invisible since the upgrade. However, if I check the Outlook Add-ins, Avast is there and checked as active. Can I do something to fix this or can someone tell us when Avast IS will support this?

I just discovered the same thing. I have Avast Premier and just upgraded my Office 365 2013 (64-bit) to Office 365 2016 (64-bit) and the Avast buttons are missing from the ribbon.
I’ve disabled the Avast add-in, restarted Outlook, then enabled the Avast add-in, restarted Outlook and no Avast presence is visible. What good does it do to have Avast enabled if it is invisible?

Or is there something that I am supposed to uncheck/check in Avast itself to trigger the add-in to be visible in Outlook? Oh, and I even tried restarting my whole computer and it made no difference.

I submitted a ticket on this. They are working to fix this and update the program when they have that done. Avast did not specify a timetable on this.

Carl,

Thanks for submitting a formal ticket. I have had to aggressively scrub my mail for junk and malware before downloading in Outlook 2016. There is a great program that I have used for years called MailWasher Pro. It allows you to scan your mail in place on your ISP’s server before any formal download into a mail program like Outlook. It provides a friends list of email address or domains as well as the other side of the coin… a blacklist.

Just found this thread after suffering the same problem.
Avast’s anti-spam system was good at getting rig of the dozens of spam emails I get every day.
Hope they fix this soon.
Will have to dump Avast otherwise.

I think that the Avast spam labeling is still happening, at least sometimes. There just doesn’t seem to be any control other than going to the settings and listing a sender in either the White list or the Black list.
