I’m trying to re-register Avast, which will expire tomorrow. I received a key by email but it says it’s invalid.
I was using version 8 and was told to get 2014. And so I did. But I still can’t get my license key to work?
Now what? I suppose someone will tell me to uninstall and reinstall? I don’t feel like that doing that every time.
Why must it be so hard and annoying? Many others have this problem and its yet to be resolved.

If you have internet connection for this computer - why not use the internal registration function - avastUI > Settings > Registration.
Or have you tried that method - if so any errors displayed ?
What errors are you getting with the off-line registration input ?

Very frustrating, and finally got it going.
The key is that you have to let Avast “expire”. Only then will it accept your new license.

Agreed totally frustrating as it shouldn’t require that you wait until expiry. I think this is a bug in the current off-line registration process.
