I am using avast passwords on android (stand-alone app) for many years now. After a reset of the phone and re=installation of the APK, I cannot log in anymore with the correct password that I used before the reset. Always get an error “try again later”. All my passwords were generated by the app and I desperately need them back! What can I do to restore the data. I am aware that the app isn’t supported anymore, but it always worked fine for me, even after new installation on new phones. Login and retrieving the data never was a problem = until now… Please, help me!!! Thanks for saving me!
I noticed the old password manager (orange Key) had a exclamation mark next to it 3-4 weeks ago and since then does not open so i guess its finally been turned off. I believe it was February we was informed a new web based password manager was being introduced and to swich over. This was also shown in the main Avast UI when you went to passwords but im not sure about on mobiles as i dont use it much on android.
I honestly have no idea if you can retrieve those passwords if its now switched off so i think it might be best to try and contact support (good luck) as there may be a workaround but i havnt got a clue how to do it.
I guess you could download the new web based password manager from the play store. the new version is the orange square.
