The web’s original model was not designed with security in mind. They just have built layer on layer, e.g. http build on top of tcp/ip etc, and when you start digging down to the underlying structures there is where you find the vulnerabilities. No, Damien, they simply age gracefully and if not protected against, can cause as much trouble as some of the new malware.
