With few latest Avast versions it has a new settings window and the old one still available.
My problem is that the new settings are not showing more advanced settings that the old search has, so is it possible to have it open window with the old settings at all times instead of the new one?

This is unfortunately the direction avast are going. The access to the Old Settings in the Troubleshooting section is only there until the New UI is completely revised (as far as I can recall).
When that happens I guess its goodbye to the access to the old settings. Then you will have to use the Search function for geek:settings or some such wording to access settings not in the UI.
I have to admit I haven’t been keeping pace with this concept as I don’t agree with it, hence not knowing the magic open sesame string. How the hell are users meant to find out this little magic trick (where will it be documented), bloody bonkers.
I think this is a poor decision. A major decision 15 years ago to switch to avast was its ease of configurability.
I hope that at least all the settings will be available in the new UI before that happens.
Right now there aren’t many setting in the UI and some of them are not even working correctly or not working at all… If that will be the case then it would totally suck not to have any control over it as well as better control of the program itself.
Well by effectively having two areas to the Avast UI, I don’t think that is going to happen. Once Avast have decided what settings will be readily available when the avastUI is finalised, it will be the geek area for the rest. Even then it will be avast deciding what they feel should be in the two areas, will 1 and one equal 2 or some fraction of that.
Over the years I have seen many things disappear from the UI, some supposedly for a revision only never to return.

Avast should make the new UI work as it should first. Right now there are some settings that are not working at all, some of them contradict each other (enabling it in the new UI disables it in the old one and the other way around so you don’t know if its even on and working). About the things that they will want to remove I hope that at least the options regarding the security will be available in the new UI.
yeah this is temporary, currently we focus and test just the new settings and they are working.
