old topics

 Hi,

I think really old topics should have some special sign or an indication of the first post date. Because when I was seing the educational topics about worms and viruses board I was thinking those instrutions were still good. but then I saw this one message saying it was old and unfited to today’s problems… :stuck_out_tongue: so has a newbie I got confused ??? and thaught I wasn’t paying atention to the caracteristics of the topics ::slight_smile: , such as date - but in fact we cannot see the date of the first topic when were choosing what to read. this sistem showing only the last post date it’s not has efficient has it could be.

and this is my opinion, I hope I posted it on the correct board.

Thank you for your attention.

ehehe

You only need to look at the date of the last post to get an idea of old topics and if they are still effectively active.

So really the creation date is of little interest as if it is active, e.g. the date of the Last Post is really more relevant, at least in my opinion.

 hi!
I do understand your point of view, I guess it goes OK for regular topics. But I don’t think it applies to educational topics. specially because people start posting their own problems :-\ and so it’s not that the educational info is being updated, the topic just keeps receiving more unrelated questions :frowning: … it get’s difficult to select what’s usefull.

Well, As long as you answer something and not spam, it’s ok right?

But pretty much, when topics are a few pages in, there solved or dead.
