on a Windows7 Avast is showing need to restart- maybe after a definishin update

I am on Windows 7 and using Avast which recent has begun warning of need to restart computer. Why is this happening and what to do to stop it ??

Avast ask for a computer restart after it had done a major upgrade to the program. What’s does the warning say? Did it detect any malware?

Try a reboot and find out if the message goes away.

Let it to restart the PC.
It won’t harm.
If it ask to restart again and again then there is a issue. More than ones per day is also abnormal

I have done the restart and no difference. It still states a need to reboot after a newer definitions update. It then gives you a drop down menu to choose when to reboot or it will on its own in 10 mnts. I chose not till the next century. But when there is a definitions update the same thing pops up again.
