Dublin, now trying again over Kubuntu 6.02 … let see what we get…
The Portuguese (Brazilian) interface is beutiful 8)
I’ve tried to change to Bulgarian and post screenshots (I can’t remember who asked me to do so… I’m whit a headache now… It’s a very ‘old’ friend of mine here in forums… Maybe X.M.A.S.).
Dublin, when trying to switch the language, I’ve got:
LANG=bg_BG avastgui
(process:15354): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library
(process:15354): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback ‘C’ locale.
(avastgui:15354): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: “qtengine”,
I have no idea about this… But I can’t get avast in Bulgarian… X.M.A.S. would like to see the interface and check the errors.
I see no error ;D
Igor, wouldn’t it be a good thing to translate the help files?
I see only English and Czeck in the folder /usr/lib/avast4workstation/share/avast/help/…
Sure, that’s me ;D
Thanks a lot for trying to switch to Bulgarian language and to help me Tech
Yes, I want to see some screen shoots from the interface(I don’t have the opportunity to test the Linux Version), to see the interface “in live” to see if everything fits there :
Dublin, maybe if you have some spare time you could send me some screen shoots from the Bulgarian interface (but only if you have time) :
Well, it would be good if there are and Bulgarian help files, wouldn’t it ;D :
Tech, help files are already translated into portuguese so save your time.
I’ve asked skilled colleague to add these file into the package but finally I’ll have to do it by myself

Did I do that? :
I can’t remember… are you sure that the Brazilian (Portuguese) version is there? For Linux?
Igor should have given me more work than I could remember ;D
Actually, no (though I’m sure it would have been a matter of minutes for you ;)).
I was told that the help files translation was sent to Dublin by somebody else. They are not in HTML yet, but when they are, I’ll send them to you - so that you can check/correct.

Thanks 8)
How about Dbus? That way we can write our own addons to do what we want with results, notifications, etc…

Igor, in other post I’ve asked you the Passolo file…
Maybe the better for homogeneity will be receiving both, the Passolo and the HTML files 8)
This is my first day running Ubuntu. Very confusing. I just loaded Avast. Will it run everytime I start up? how do I know it’s running?
In Linux there is no resident protection, it active when you have suspicions of something.
With Avast I give Guarantee that the information and post office that shipment to my clients go free of virus

Does the latest Avast for Linux Workstation provide on-access (real-time) scanning found in similar products such as ClamAV? Does it integrate with email software such as Evolution? Also does it scan for rootkits or is it just capable of scanning for viruses, trojans and worms?
Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rootkits
Not at this time. Just on demand scanning. Don’t know about rootkits. Avast for Linux uses the same definition files as the Windows version.
