Hi All,
I’m not sure what they’re called, but the shell command(?) (right click on a file > context menu > avast > Scan) seems to be broken.
When I execute it, I get a blank avast popup for a second, then an avast system tray popup with a scan named ??? and apparently a full, perhaps, system scan is executed. This happens every time, and now I have 4 instances of ??? scans in my Scan section and clicking on Delete Scan does nothing. Stopping the scan isn’t always possible either.
This feature used to be simple and quick but as it is now, it’s unusable and slows my workflow down.
I thought that perhaps it was just a bug in the version that I was using and so I went through the automatic program update, restarted, got the main screen stating that there where issues (some shields not active), like when I first upgraded to 2014, restarted again, then, no Internet, restarted again, all seems to be fine except for the same file scan issue.
I will no longer do auto updates and hopefully avoid some issues, but, some help with the on demand scanning issue would be very helpful.
I have avast set to scan pretty much everything that is opened, downloaded, executed, etc, but for piece of mind, I like to use the on demand feature so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, by the way, is there an easy way to copy the program’s version number?
It would be nice for troubleshooting, etc.

So this will address the on demand file scan issue?
