G’ morning guys !!
Here’s my problem now, I know I did show extensions on folders box on Folder Option (or something like that), but after my restore point for my autopatcher and microsoft update, it seems that even my start menu and desktop is affected by this …
I wouldn’t mind showing extensions on folders, but showing it on the desktop and start menu just gets a bit bothersome …
So how can I fix this (if there is a way to fix this) ?

from the little you say I’d suggest you have used an AutoPatcher Tweak enabled to show all file extensions .
You can disable this , I think , by running A_P again and deselecting that tweak .
Xp-AntiSpy also has this tweak option , if you have that on your system .
If neither of these is the case we can look deeper for a solution ,

Ah, got it. xp-AntiSpy did the trick. Now I just need a restart.
