On startup, Avast displays a window to install antitrack on firefox. But this extension does not exist on Firefox anymore

How can I disable this window, useless and annoying ? I tried all features of avast menu, notifications to discard it, but no way to do it.

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.

Firefox is my default browser and I’m not seeing this promotion.

The I’ve tried all features of Avast doesn’t help narrow it down.
My Personal Privacy and Notification settings:

Hi DavidR,

Thanks for your quick reply

Sure, here is the configuration of my parameters. Also the screen that is displayed (install avast extension on Firefox) and the response in Firefox saying this page is not found.

From your 2nd screen shot, I would suggest using Pop-up notifications treatment - Limited Mode.

If you look at my 2nd image, the Yellow line over the ‘but blocks any pop-up offers’, which essentially is what you are getting. Even though the add-on is no longer available for Firefox.

I never even considered using anti-track on firefox or other browser (and I have never been offered it by Avast).

Hi DavidR,

As you can see on my 3rd screenshot, I have exactly the same popup configuration as yours.

Unfortunately, this does not prevent Avast to display the popup (in my 2nd screenshot,) on session opening.

I tried to deactivate Avast things in task management (startup tab), but it’s impossible.

It seems like Avast does not take care of my preferences.

I just add that i have Avast Premium Security, including Antitrack, VPN secureline, Cleanup premium.

Thanks for your help, but I think this can be considered as a BUG.

Have you tried Repairing your Avast, from GUI it is:
Menu>Settings>Troubleshooting>[REPAIR APP]

or you can do the same via the Windows Uninstall menu for Avast.

Sorry, but your 3rd screenshot isn’t the same setting as my screenshot - Mode Limited as this distinctly refers to 'but blocks any pop-offers, which I believe is what this is ?

Hi DavidR,

Thanks for your patience…

I turned parameters into “total silent mode” as you can see on my screenshot 1. Confirmation of Avast on screen 2

After reboot of PC, same behaviour on session opening (screen 3)…

Hi Rocksteady,

Thanks for the advice, I didn’t know this option. I Did it.

Unfortunately, same window popups at starting of a session each time.

It’s weird, I downloaded these executables directly from my Avast account 3 days ago.
