going to settings->protection->firewall->view firewall rules ->network rules …most of them now have the “lock” symbol.
How do I unlock these rules as I want to change some of them (yes, I know what I want to change and why)??
This latest update to lock me out of my own firewall is a strange approach to paying customers.
Hi,
It is not possible to make changes to the default network rules. Default network rules are marked with the lock icon. You can add new rules though. Please see: https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/Antivirus-Firewall-Network-Rules/#idt_030

its my firewall, I want to edit ANY rule in my firewall including what somebody in another country thinks is a “default” rule…
It certainly is possible as it was easy to do before(actually it is easy to do in every other firewall system I have used).
please at least tell me somebody is working a “flag” to let me edit ALL the firewall rules on my own computer…
