Seriously, though, why would the DNS I’m currently configured to use be giving me this error with Avast when it seems(?) to not be having issues elsewhere when I surf the Internet?

Also, how would I know if I’m using IPv4 or IPv6, as cited on the Wikipedia page?

Change the DNS and check.
Posting here isn’t gonna solve it.

No, Eddy, you’re right…that is, unless a better or more thorough answer comes along…which it might.

I, for one, prefer to have a better understanding about something before I might do it, so that’s why I ask about it…and maybe others would as well, so forgive my curiosity.

Oh, and if you read the Wikipedia page I was sent to, Eddy, then you’d know that the question I asked was relevant because it tells me to use a different DNS address depending on whether I was using IPv4 or IPv6, so please don’t be so quick to dismiss my asking about things like that.
