Online help Chat disconnected before I was able to get help

I was just on the Avast online Chat function for help, and before I finished that chat the chat box just completely closed out and the page went blank. Has anyone any idea why a help chat would do that?

I can’t seem to get back into that to try and get my issue resolved. Any suggestions as to how I can finally contact a live rep to help me?

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.

Well wonders will never cease. The rep I was conversing with actually sent me an email stating the chat dropped on her side too. So after providing her the information I was trying to give her during the chat, she thanked me and said she would get back with me. Now this is a new cs 5 star rep…I’ve never had a chat rep ever contact me whenever our chat dropped before, so someone is actually using their own imitative in making sure their customer contact was actually helped.

Today I got a reply to that email interaction which said that my issue will be taken care of and I should hear back within 5-7 days. So if the expected response I’m promised shows up, I have a to give it to this rep for taking her job seriously. Not many other companies train their reps to reach back out to the customer when something untoward occurs during a chat.

I used to work in a bank fraud escalation team and we were trained to make sure if we lost our customer due to a line drop, we actually reached back out to them to complete the original discussion. We were actually trained to be cognizant that we had to treat our customers with gold star service…no excuses were tolerated. Too bad there are few, if any, customer service reps that do this these days.
