Onshape is not working properly, well, not at all if you want to open a document. The only difference, that happened was to switching from AVG to Avast.
Whilst I don’t work for Avast - there really isn’t much information to work with.
Are you getting any errors/alerts, etc, ?
This may help us to point you in the right direction.
I had no idea what Onshape was before your post.
I would gladly send the Onshape forum post, but st*pid Avast forum cannot let me.

I’m not sure why that is that you can’t post a link.
It may be as it is your first post (but spammers seem to be able to do it) though I have seen people report problems with a site.
You don’t mention why the forum won’t let you, remember I/we can’t see what you can see.
You could try a copy and paste the text content of your post.
Edit: I was able to visit the site and this is an oldish report (last post Jan20) , but in all of that I didn’t see any information related to your user name unless it is monkey_miniatures. Note I have been able to post a link.
I see there response was less than helpful -
Avast is a known culprit. Please try uninstalling.
Yet that user disabled/removed the anti-track component and said that worked.
Note: there should be little difference between AVG and Avast, as are now the same company.
I followed the guidance there, uninstalled the AntiTrack and it worked. Wow, what a useless part of antivirus software.
I believe we’re looking in the same forum post, but I cannot post links:
I’m still unsure what Avast Program you are using as you haven’t said.
I use Avast Antivirus Free and as far as I’m aware, the anti-track isn’t part of it. I don’t know if it is a part of Avast One Free, these two programs have different components and settings.
If the program you are using had anti-track then something at that website is considered to be tracking you. I don’t know if simply adding the Onshape domain URL to the Avast Exclusions would have had the desired effect whilst retaining the anti-track function.
I have Ultimate edition, so everything is present.
I tried adding exclusions with Avast Support via chat but that did not help at all.
As you didn’t say what the exclusion was that you set - if it was as Avast Support suggested - I can’t really comment.
I’m confused (easily done) but I though you had it resolved given your previous comment.
I followed the guidance there, uninstalled the AntiTrack and it worked.
Do you really think disabling a security option from Avast is a resolvement? I highly doubt that.
Avast Support recommended adding Onshape site to trusted sites, but that did not help.
Don’t be confused. Avast is simply terrible.
So now its something that you want, I’m confused, easily done.
As I said " I don’t work for Avast", just an avast user trying to help other Avast Users. From the start this has been a bit of a fight trying to get information. So I will bow out at this point.
You see, I needed help from the Avast itself. It’s nice that you try to help, but honestly there’s not much you can do about that. You’re using Free version, which is vastly different than the paid versions. I don’t think you have some background knowledge on Avast products so the help you’re trying to give is based on googling. I can do that as well and I did.
Sorry you feel that way, but honestly, I gave up on Avast because they simply don’t care about users and problems they have to deal with.
Well beg my pardon for even trying.
No need.
