OOPS! I hit delete and lost my folders -HELP

I plugged in my flash drive and got virus warnings. Not having much experience, not thinking, etc. I hit delete a number of times on the Avast pop up. I didn’t realize I was deleting all the folders on my flash drive. Now I can’t find them…

Any hope, Any thing I can do? They were pretty important…

I’m sorry, with avast, delete usually means delete. :-\

You may try seaching this forum for recovery tools I believe tech may have posted some links in response to another user. There may be an outside chance, but…

Or try somewhere like download.com or snapfiles.com and search for something like undelete.

avast should only indicate files that are infected and not folders, unless you are infected with something like malware that converts folders into folders.exe, even then I’m not sure how avast would deal with that.
