Is it possible to move the cache folder location? I wouldn’t like that either.
David in the Opera settings you can automatically set Opera to delete cookies and delete browser cache when you close down Opera when finished.
And you can set Opera keep you favorite cookies and your website address, and automatically delete the browser cache when you close down Opera when finished.
There is an Opera setting to increase the browser cache files size, cause I have on my another version 8.51, but have haven’t check the version 9 Opera settings yet.
Keep in mind Opera v9.0 is ONLY for beta testing is not final yet the version 8.51 is still the current final version.
Location, location, location. That was the issue, not being able to keep the cache on a separate partition. With dial-up I don’t want to kill the browser cache or cookies on exit, that just slows browsing for me.
The browser size wasn’t an issue (I saw the resize cache and memory usage options), I have lots of space on both partitions on my primary HDD and huge amounts on my secondary HDD. I just didn’t want in on my C drive.
I’m well aware that it is still beta but can you move the location of the cache in 8.51 if not I doubt that that will be an option in the final 9.0 as i isn’t mentioned in the whats new (but that is a very small detail).
Unfortunately, it was a combination of things not just this that made me uninstall it.

I didn’t see you mention anything about tab options. That was one of my objections.
Are there any similar to what I currently have?

Changing the location of Opera’s cache
Platform: All Windows versions
It is possible to change the location of Opera’s cache, although this is not recommended unless you know what you are doing.
Go to Help > About Opera and find the location of your opera6.ini file.
Close Opera.
Open opera6.ini in a text editor.
Under [User Prefs], add the entry “Cache Directory4=” and enter the path.
Example:
[User Prefs]
Cache Directory4=H:\Cache
(I found this after searching in the Opera forums, if you need more help post your question there)
Bob I saw your last post the picture you put up, I don’t fully understand what you are trying to do because you said tabs in Opera aren’t flexible for my needs can you explain more details what you want.
Bob did you know Opera has a forum website to discuss about Opera for people who are having problems, so check out the forum website I’m at work so I cannot compare my tab setting to your to confirmed error settings.
You want more confugurability?
Type “opera:config” (without quotes) in URL field and press ENTER.
Voila
Thanks RejZoR
Enough configuration options to choke a horse but nothing on tabs…
I’m not looking for much but when I open a link, I want it in it’s own tab.
I hate back arrows. ;D
Tools\Preferences\Browsing
Uncheck reuse current tab.
I haven’t tried but as far as i know it should open new tabs for each new opened element.
I hate back arrows, too … hence, my 5 button cordless infared mouse!
Thanks Again RejZoR

Why do you all hate back arrows? Never heard for mouse gestures?
I hate to many tabs…
Just hold Right mouse button and click left one for as far as you want to go back. Ultra fast feature for Backward coommand. Works the same for forward, just with holding left button and clicking right one…
I guess this is another one of those items that belongs in the “Personal Preferences” catagory.
Alt + S does not appear to work on forums in Opera?
