I originally posted this on the Opera Browser Forum, but got no answer. Hopefully someone here has the lowdown insight on this:
I run my Opera 9.51 superimposed on my AOL as my ISP.
Now, I understand or at least I THINK I understand that if I first Minimize my Opera … and THEN Click on the AOL Button on the Taskbar, Opera will have relinquished some Systems Resources as AOL now takes over front and center on my screen. The same goes for me first Minimizing AOL … and THEN Clicking on the Opera Button on the Taskbar. AOL will subsequently relinquish System Resources as Opera takes over front and center on my screen.
Ahhh, but what about if and when I just Click on the others Taskbar Button without first Minimizing the current On Screen Browser? Would NO relinquishing of System Resources take place? Would I now have BOTH AOL and Opera utilizing full-fledged, full-blown Systems Resources? Or does by default, ONLY the Browser that’s front and center actively on my screen utilize the majority of the System Resources?
