Also the software updater says “New version 16” while I had version 16 installed and the new version 17.

Bump, any word on this? The latest Opera is using the same engine as Chrome, so shouldn’t be too hard to get the extension working for this browser too.

First install this Opera add-on:

then install avast online security from Chrome Web Store:

I tried it in Opera Developer 18 and it is working fine.

Actually it doesn’t work anymore.Previous version of avast online security worked fine in Opera Developer.Sorry.

Dragging/dropping the webrep file (wrc.oex) into Opera isn’t working either anymore.

Edit:
I have upgraded to 9.0.2006 after the first post in this thread.
The problem is still there.
