I have a dial-up internet connection, and any way to speed things up would be great. I have seen some users say the Opera is really fast, I use IE7 almost exclusively, would I notice a differnce if I switched to Opera?
Most likely not. I don’t use Opera but the speed of the Browser would not be noticeable on dial-up where most of the time its waiting on your connection anyway
I use Opera as my main browser but also use IE7 in some cases, such as my web based email because not all of the mail features work in Opera. But, I can say that web pages form slightly quicker in Opera than they do with IE7. It may not be a great amount quicker but it noticeably quicker to me. BTW, I am also on dial-up.
It will not hurt for you to try Opera 9 and if you do not like it, just uninstall it.
