Opt Out of Behavioral Advertising

Opt out of 60 ad networks in 3 minutes

Take a look at the list, I was surprised how many of these
where active on my system.

(Not anymore  )

(Thanks to an article in ZDNet in helping me track this down.

No Active Cookies on my system.

For me I avoid opt-out stuff like this as I have never been able to trust who is doing it. Being a trusting sort NOT, I often wonder if it isn’t the same as clicking on an opt-out link in a spam email, only likely to generate more spam.

So for me I control what cookies are on my system and their duration.

With Firefox, I have 3rd party cookies disabled, I use the Cookie Monster add-on, where the only accepted cookie is a session cookie (no 3rd party) which are history on closing the browser.

So if these are applied across your browsers then you shouldn’t have to opt out of anything.

It would be nice if the “Cookie Monster add-on” where available for Chrome.

The only one found on my system was Microsoft Advertising, and that one’s probably not worth worrying about.

Thanks nmb.

I’m beginning to like Chrome on my XP Pro system. 8)

It has lots of add-ons and Extensions that make it super.

Hope it helped… Your welcome, Bob. Oh!, and congrats to you on your new job.

Thanks again but it isn’t a job. I’d call it a pleasure and a win, win situation
for every one. Where else can you get something good and free all in one package.

Only here!
