Option for continuous scan without user interaction in case of infection

Hi all,

if during a scan an infected file is being detected the scan stopps for a user interaction.
I’d like to know if there is a option to define a default action in case of hit.
E.g. I’d like to move the corresponding files into the container and have the scanner
to continue.

Thanks in advance
KJ

These advanced automated options are only available in the Pro version. This is a limitation of the Home (free) version that it has interactive input requirement, there have to be differences in the Home/Pro version and this is one of them, the programmers have to eat ;D

In the Home version you can check the option “Don’t show this window again” when the first virus warning appears, select the “No action” button. This way, no action will be taken and you will given the results at the end of the scan (and you can perform actions from there).

Over time this will become less of an issue, as the resident, on-access scanners are designed to intercept infection before it gets into your system.

Thanks for your reply.

I’m online nearly every day and for that reason I get the newest updates. But I’m also running a full scan every now and then.
And during the last scan (28.5.07) I was really astonished bcause I had a hit which has’t been found by the on-access scanner when the file was copied to disk (24.5.07).

Which is your Standard Shield sensitivity?
The presence of the file being detected could do to many reasons:

  1. You’ve set to created/modified files weren’t scanned each time.
  2. The avast database was updated between 24 and today and improved detection.
  3. The avast database was updated between 24 and today and it’s a false positive.
