Generally they are quick to resolve false positives once acknowledged, but on the very next Virus Definitions update is a little optimistic.
First it has to be investigated and if confirmed a false positive then added to the upcoming Virus Definitions update for release, so here timing is the thing when it it gets slotted into the Virus Definitions update stream.
I am wondering if you can help with this. The entire scu.edu.au domain has been incorreclty blocked because of Avast. We have been unsuccessful in contacting anyone in Avast who we can even speak to about this, we have no information about what the supposed potential java script is.
Is there a UK contact or very English speaking contact besides Czech or Phillipines we can go to?
We have filled out the form to advise of a false positive but not even a response.
First message 1.50am, last message 3.30am. That is uk time. Czech time is one hour later - ie 2.50am and 4.30am.
Are you paying for support? I guess not. So you have no automatic right to a response or a Service Level Agreement, so for free support at least give them till the end of the day (Czech time) i.e by tomorrow, assuming you are in the USA. (now if they were certain other software giants, you wouldn’t get a response, period)
