Out of box Macbook w High Sierra - Avast Installer fails

Just downloaded an updated Avast for Business installer from our business.avast.com portal AND tried the consumer version newly downloaded from avast website. Both installers failed to install with High Sierra (10.13.). “Installer encountered an error.”

Please advise…

We applied all the updates all the way up to 10.13.6 - still no good.

it’s a generic error therefore it’s hard to advise. There should be more logs with more details in /tmp directory. They start with avast- .
