A friend of mine noticed that messages since July 24th, 2008 has not been embedding the message properly in my outbound emails.
Currently, it’s set to embed this code (after populating variables):
<html>
<TABLE width=400><HR>
<P style="FONT: 9pt/11pt verdana"><a href="http://www.avast.com">avast! Antivirus</a>: %TYPE% message clean.
<P style="FONT: 8pt/11pt verdana">Virus Database (VPS): %VPS%
Tested on: %TIMEDATE%
<FONT color=gray>avast! - copyright (c) 1988-2007 ALWIL Software.</FONT></P>
<TBODY></TBODY></TABLE>
</html>
%INBOUND=Inbound%
%OUTBOUND=Outbound%
However, when recipients receive it, there are two attachments (instead of the expected embedded and formatted text). I’ve tested this by sending test emails to a couple of other destinations A text file and an html file that contains the data for the outbound clean message. This isn’t desirable behavior obviously and was wondering if anyone here has any ideas as to what might be causing this? Now, these emails had been working properly before so other than an Avast update in the last month or so, it’s difficult to speculate why this would stop working.
I have included this Screencast snippet that displays what my current Outlook email format is set to.

I have also attached the two files that are generated from this anomaly.
Oh well…maybe not. The forum software does not allow the upload of HTML files, which is understandable. It’s basically the same as the noname.txt file except that it’s an HTML.
