Outgoing Email to show scan has been done

I use Mozilla Thunderbird as my email and I would like to know if Avast scans outgoing email and inserts a message showing that outgoing mail has been scanned?

Yes, it scans outgoing mail, and yes, it writes a message into the mail if configured to do so.
Go to Mail Shield | Expert Settings | Behaviour and tick the appropriate options.
