Outllok 2010 and Gmail with avast!7

[size=14pt][size=18pt][size=12pt][font=arial black]I have searched the posts and have been able to get gmail set up right with outlook 2010 and avast!7. The only problem now is that some of the e-mails (particularly one from sources such as Geeks.com) are coming through with only characters in the body of the email, either all ‘?’ {sample:???.???>???>???'??? . the emotioncons are actually question marks} or other characters instead of the pictures or text. I do not see any link to download the content or show it in the body of the email. Is there a setting I have missed or a work around for this.

does it work if you disable avast mail shield ?

Yes, I have just noticed that it does the same thing with my non-gmail accounts too.

what avast do you have…free / pro / AIS
what version 7.0…?

avast! Free 7.0.1426

Try to disable inserting note in clean and infected message (it is in mail shield->expert settings->tab behavior) and please let me know if it worked.

Disabled them, Will let you know if that works.

could you please send me the email that you receives damaged so I could try to find out what is the problem.
I need the source of email, forwarded email will not help me.
Here are the instructions:
If you are using IMAP (or POP with backup on server) find the damaged email in outlook, sign in the gmail, open the message (which is in outlook damaged but in gmail is all right) and in the upper right corner select “show original” copy&paste to some text editor and send it me to email.
