I have noticed with the latest version of Avast Pro 5 that html messages in Outlook 2007 will not show (shows as plain text instead) if you add the clean message option to bottom of emails. If you uncheck this part then incoming messages coming are fine once again.
I get that as well; avast! breaks html formatting when insert note is checked - I sent an html newsletter and all they got was html code!
Also it has no option just to - insert a note into outbound mail only - without disabling inbound scanning - means replies end up full of avast inserts.
Greatly preferred the 4.8 way of doing this - even the wording ‘Outbound message clean.’ doesn’t work because the to the recipient it’s inbound - ‘message scanned by avast!’ is better.
Yep, it appears to break HTML formatting by inserting a text message also in Outlook 2003. If the developers could fix this such that avast! reads the formatting of the message and inserts (appropriately) either an HTML or plain text tag depending on the message format, that would be appreciated.
May I ask a question? so, what have I to do to repaire this trouble ? because I have this problem since I installed the new version of Avast Thanks a lot for your help ! I’m working under Windows 7 Home Premium 32bits and Avast 5.
I checked and found that mines was unchecked yet I am still getting most of me emails in plain text. I am running Outlook 2003 with outlook connector on Windows 7 64bit.
This is so anoying that I am wondering if I should find some other AV protection, which I don’t really want to do.
