Subject says it all.
Dont know when this started happening, but it seems that if I have both anti-spam and mail-shield enabled in Avast, Outlook 2016 is not able to make any outbound connections to providers like Google, Hotmail, and a personal IMAP/SMTP provider that comes with the web hosting I use.
If I disable one of them, nothing, needs to be both.
I’ve tried to uninstall and reinstall the features, as well as perform a repair on the app.
Pls help <3
Avast: 19.8.2393
64 Bit Windows 10 Pro
Have been using avast consistently since 2016, through multiple reinstalls of the OS over time.
Same symptoms after reinstall of Avast - If Mail-Sheild and Anti-Spam are enabled, Outlook 1910 isnt able to send recieve mail and I get errors like this for all of the accounts I have configured. -
Task ‘Synchronizing subscribed folders for Gmail.’ reported error (0x800CCC0E) : ‘Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for Gmail. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).’
If I turn off Mail-Shield and Anti-Spam, everything instantly starts working again.

Hi, I forwarded it again. Hope it helps…
Hello Christopher,
Thank you for reporting the issue.
Unfortunately, there is nothing suspicious in your support package. Also, I’m able to send/receive email message using Outlook 2016 (Avast 19.8.2393, Windows 10 Pro x64). Could you please do following:
Enable debug logging (Menu > Settings > General > Troubleshooting > Enable debug logging)
Reproduce the issue (start Outlook client and try to send/receive any message).
After that, please, create a new support package (https://support.avast.com/en-eu/article/Submit-support-file) and post the ID here.
Thank you very much,
