Outlook can't download msgs

Hello
Since a few hours my outlook2013 mail client can’t download mails from my google account whilst AVAST is activated. As soon I deactivate AVAST everything works fine.
I’ve put outlook and all its sideloads like gsync and cloudmark as exceptions in the AVAST config.
What to do more to get AVAST active as well as Outlook mail downloads?

I installed AVAST Internet Security Upgrade half an hour ago . . . however, the error occured first with AVAST free edition.
OL shows this error: (0x800CCC0F . . . . . +OK message follows)

Did you try repair?

Yes, incl. the sys reboot. Did not help by any means!

Perform a clean installation of avast and see if it solves the problem.

Made a deinstallation, reboot, clean install, reboot. Result: Same story as before. Same error message within OL2013. Stopp AVAST and OL works again as expected.
What I don’t understand is the fact, that OL was working fine till approx. noon today and is failing to download whilst AVAST is activated thereafter. . . .
Any more ideas?

PS: I have a similar trouble on another system where I use “tunnel” to pass email’s from an app to gmail. As long as AVAST is active, no msg’s will leave. Without AVAST, everything works fine!

I gave up!
Have removed AVAST from my system and will try with other avirus software which does not prevent the download of emails into OL2013.

Did you use aswclear ?
Did you setup avast to use ssl (if your email provider is using it) ?
