Outlook/Exchange Provider Is Causing Problems

When I enable the Outlook/Exchange Provider and an email comes in that is either suspicious or has a virus, Outlook locks up. I have narrowed the problem down to the Outlook/Exchange Provider. Whenever I turn this provider off, I can receive emails fine. No locking up. I am running Outlook 2003 and the Outlook/Exchange Provider is version 4.6-440. Please Help Quickly. I cannot leave my Outlook clients open to viruses.

So, the popup pops up, you dismiss it, and THEN Outlook locks up? Or you can’t even dismiss it?

No crashes - just lock ups? And what if a real virus is found (instead of ‘Suspicious message’)? Same thing?
