Outlook/Exchange Scanner option

hi
i’m new to this so please forgive me. i cannot seem to find where the explanation is for the option of Outlook/Exchange. I use Outlook Express as my email program and not Outlook - Presently I am not running the On-Access Scanner Provider for the Outllok/Exchange because I do not know if it meant for me as I use O/Express and I don’t know what Exchange means.

I would start with the avast help file, Resident protection.

It is only required for MS Outlook (not express), for OE you should be using the Internet Mail provider.

It isn’t! The Outlook/Exchange provider is for Microsoft Outlook

For Outlook Express you use the Internet Mail provider
