Outlook Exchange

Recently installed a trial version of mail wash and when I installed it the avast outlook/exchange has stopped working
It worked before the install.
I have avast 4.6 home free version
I checked outlook disabled and there was no entry
and there are no plug ins listed at all
Obviously the mail wash has installed them with its install program

Is there anyway except for a complete reinstall of Avast to get it working again?

Your help will be greatly appreciated as I realise that the incoming emails are stilled scanned but would like the full protection again

Hi martyran,

If I understand correctly you’ve opened the avast! On-Access Protection Control and Outlook/Exchange is no longer listed.

First make sure you are on line, then open Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel and click the change/remove button for avast! Make sure the Change option is highlighted, click next and be sure there is a check mark next to Outlook/Exchange.

If this does not work there is also a Repair option. You should be on line for this as well.

What do you mean? There isn’t a note at the end of the clean messages or the provider has gone away?
If the emails are being scanned, the provider (pluggin) is there and you just lost your email clean notes?

I was trying to find the add ins in the avast folder to put in out look to make it work
